Make a short evidence map
Start with the responsibilities and required qualifications, rather than every word in the posting. For each important requirement, note a real task, project or credential from your resume that supports it. Mark requirements without evidence as gaps.
| Requirement | Fictional source evidence | Accurate wording |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduling | Maintained a volunteer calendar | Maintained a shared volunteer schedule |
| Reporting in Excel | Prepared weekly Excel activity summaries | Prepared weekly activity summaries in Excel |
| Budget management | No budget responsibility supplied | Leave it out; ask whether you have relevant experience |
Use the employer’s language where it fits
A supported term can make experience easier to find. Keep it in a meaningful sentence and retain your actual scope. Coordinating a schedule does not establish that you managed a department. A tool listed in the vacancy does not establish that you used it.
